La información histórica
Los Jardines Colgantes de Mumbai se establecieron en 1880. La última restauración se realizó en los años 20 del siglo XX. Están dedicados al abogado.
Arquitectura
Los Jardines Colgantes de Mumbai recuerdan a muchos de los bien pensados y cuidados parques europeos. Y esto no es casualidad: fue construido durante los años del dominio británico. Allí se plantan relativamente pocos árboles. Pero el césped perfectamente recortado y sembrado de flores hará las delicias de la vista. Se plantan palmeras en las esquinas de cada césped. Los caminos están cubiertos de arena de terracota. Debido a la gran variedad de flores en los macizos de flores, aquí vuelan una gran cantidad de mariposas de colores extravagantes. Algunas plantas se colocan en jarrones y cajas. Muchos arbustos se han transformado en figuras de animales gracias a jardineros profesionales. Aquí también hay muchos acogedores miradores.

Mitos y leyendas
Muchos creen que los jardines fueron diseñados originalmente con el propósito de brindar protección mística contra el entierro de Zoroastro. Fueron plantados en una zona con tanques de agua enterrados bajo tierra.
Como llegar
Es conveniente llegar hasta aquí en autobuses urbanos. La parada se llama parque Kamala Nehru. Si eliges el metro, deberás bajarte en las estaciones de Charni Road o Grant Road. Sin embargo, tendrás que recorrer aproximadamente un kilómetro y medio desde ellos para llegar a los jardines. Puede utilizar los servicios de taxi para esto.
